Dova Brunch Cafe

My husband works at Megaworld and he keeps going on and on about this new restaurant that just opened near his office. He already ate there with a few friends from work and he was pleased. So one Saturday, he decided to take me and my son out to lunch.

Dova has a nice interior. With high ceilings and soft white lights, it definitely felt posh and somewhat, rustic. I loved what they did to the wash area too! I was just a little bit shy to take a picture.

I was overwhelmed with the menu because normally I would do some research on the food items before dining but I wasn't able to do that so it took me quite a longer time than usual to decide. My son who is only three, however, knew what he was going to order as soon as he was given the menu. He likes to brag about being able to read some words so he decided to have pancakes for lunch. Pancakes was one of the few words he can read off the menu.

Hummus plate

Bare Naked pancake

Pulled Pork Burger

Herb roasted Chicken

I had a great experience at Dova. The waitstaff was nice and friendly and they have separate bathrooms for male and female which is a plus. I know my son had an excellent time because while I was preparing him for sleep he told me that he loves pancakes and he wanted to go back to Dova again.

The Beginning

I have always contemplated on starting a blog ever since I got pregnant with my son. He is 3 years old as I am writing this. That was how long I contemplated. What can I say? I lacked the time and the confidence to start one. What if no one read it? What if I just made a fool out of myself? What if I just start writing? So here goes my first blog entry...

We recently moved from ParaƱaque City to Iloilo City. We have been here for almost two months and I am still trying to get a hang of it. By "it", I mean, "housewife-ing".  Haha!

My husband and I have only been married for less than a month and we used to live with my mother and my sister. So when we moved out, I was really lost. I didn't know how to cook and how to iron. Fortunately, my mother decided to stay with us in Iloilo for a few weeks to give us a headstart in planning what we need to buy or fix or do in out apartment.

Fast forward to now. There is rice in the rice cooker and pork sinigang in the pot so, I think I did okay. With a little help from Google and YouTube, I think my small family of 3 will survive my cooking.
